Meet our Recipients

Tiffany Sylve is the AADO Community Change’s 2023 recipient of the Birgit Burton R.I.S.E. Fund

Meet Tiffany

Tiffany Sylve is the Senior Development Assistant for Foundation Relations at the Georgia Institute of Technology. She oversees the administrative tasks and plays a pivotal role in finding funding for the various initiatives at the Institute. Since joining Georgia Tech in 2022, she has found over $600,000 in funding and is awaiting the announcement(s) of other Request for Proposals submitted. She is very passionate and enthusiastic about helping faculty and staff expand their research and making students' dreams become reality through programmatic and scholarship support.

In 2009, Sylve received her bachelor's degree from Clayton State University. She is a 2023 AFP Diversity Fellow with the AFP Greater Atlanta Chapter, assisted on the 2023 AADO/CASE Conference for Diverse Philanthropy and Leadership, and is currently on the planning committee for the 2024 AADO Conference, “Embracing Diverse Voice, Maximizing Impact, and Igniting Change.” She is a Georgia native and enjoys creating memories with her husband, Brandon, son, Brandon Michael, family, and friends.

How do you intend to use the funds?

I am ecstatic to be a recipient of the Birgit Burton R. I. S. E. fund. Birgit is a well-regarded professional and fundraiser abroad and stateside. I strive to make my mark on the world like her. I will use the funds to attend the 2024 AFP Icon in Toronto to gain more knowledge about philanthropy.
